What is a แชสซี AMR?

A แชสซี AMR is a low-profile autonomous platform that drives beneath standard warehouse carts and trolleys, coupling via a lifting pin or magnetic top-plate. Once docked, it carries the cart autonomously to any destination programmed in the Fleet Management System — eliminating manual pushing labour entirely.

Unlike an LMR which uses proprietary pods, a แชสซี AMR works with your existing cart inventory. This makes it ideal for hybrid facilities where some zones are manual and others are automated — you simply add robots where labour is the bottleneck and keep carts the same.

Three operating modes are supported: Autonomous dispatch (WMS assigns cart moves), Person-following (operator leads, robot follows carrying the load), and Point-to-point call button (operators press a physical call button to summon a robot to a station).

Working Principle

Task AssignmentFMS receives move order from WMS (or operator call button). Nearest available robot is dispatched to the pick-up location.

Cart DockingRobot slides under cart and engages the coupling pin with ±50 mm accuracy. Lift engagement confirmed by load sensor before travel.

Autonomous NavigationSLAM LiDAR plans an optimal path, avoids dynamic obstacles, and decelerates smoothly in congested zones — sharing aisles with pedestrians.

Delivery & ReleaseCart is delivered to the target station. Robot disengages, confirms delivery to FMS, and picks up the next task — or docks to charge if battery is low.

Fleet Traffic Management

FMS coordinates up to 200 robots in the same zone via 5 GHz Wi-Fi mesh. Deadlock prevention and priority queuing keep throughput smooth at peak loads.

Opportunity Charging

Auto-docks at any available charging pad during task gaps. Battery management algorithm extends cell life and keeps fleet at >95% availability during 3-shift operations.

In most cases, your existing carts can be used with a simple retrofit coupling plate bolted to the underside. The plate is adjustable for wheelbases between 400 mm and 1,200 mm and takes under 10 minutes to install per cart. For flat-deck trolleys without a central clearance, a low-profile magnetic coupling variant is available.
The robot uses a front-facing 3D depth camera to track a human silhouette within a 0.5–2 m follow range. No wearable tag is required. The operator activates follow mode by standing in front of the robot for 2 seconds (configurable gesture). If the operator moves out of frame or stops, the robot brakes and waits. A button cancels the follow and returns the robot to autonomous standby.
Yes — the แชสซี AMR is designed for mixed-traffic environments. It shares aisles with pedestrians under ISO 3691-4 rules: slowing to 0.3 m/s within its warning field and stopping if the obstacle persists. For forklifts, traffic management zones in the FMS can prioritise forklift corridors during peak shift handovers. Separate forklift zones with light-curtain interlock are also available for high-risk areas.
